April 24, 2022 – FLO Fest, a celebration of the 200th anniversary of Frederick Law Olmsted’s birth, was the first public event ever to be held at Olmsted-Beil House Park. The event featured crafts, games, storytelling, site tours by FOBH historian Patricia Salmon and tours of the Great Trees by the NYC Urban Park Rangers, and refreshments, including birthday cake. Commemorative proclamations from NYS Senator Andrew Lanza and Staten Island Borough President Vito Fossella were read aloud. (Photos: Lance Reha)
