FOBH Board Member

FOBH Board Member Betsy Greene is the daughter of the prominent Staten Island landscape architect and environmental activist Bradford Greene, who spent many hours regaling the family on the accomplishments of his hero, the great Frederick Law Olmsted. Betsy went on to study art history and historic preservation, and spent much of her career as the College Interior Designer at the City University of New York College of Staten Island. Though now retired from the College, Betsy has been busy as a freelance reference book writer, publishing four books on architectural history and material culture for the Bloomsbury Academic imprint, most recently Artifacts from Nineteenth-Century America, published in 2022.  She presently serves as the Secretary of the Board of Trustees at Historic Richmond Town.
