There are relatively few buildings on Staten Island that literally have foundations from the 17th century. Let’s take a look at the resilient gems that have stood during the Revolution, the Civil War, the Great Depression, and the onslaught of the population boom that resulted from the opening of the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge. This presentation will feature the Billiou-Stilwell-Perine House, the Conference or Billop House, the Manee-Seguine Homestead, the Alice Austen House, the Cubberly-Britton House, the Olmsted-Beil House (of course!), and one historic treasure that was built circa 1700.
