Several amazing structures from the past still stand on the Island. How and why they have survived and their important stories will be shared as we focus on the Olmsted-Beil House, the Seguine Mansion, the Sandy Ground Cottages, the Rossville AME Church and Cemetery, the historic Woodrow United Methodist Church and others. Celebrate these survivors from Staten Island’s grand past!

Staten Island Stories at the Historic Kaasmann House

Join Staten Island public historian and FOBH member Patricia M. Salmon outdoors at the historic Kaasmann House, 4475 Hylan Boulevard, Eltingville, Staten Island on four evenings in July for fascinating talks on Staten Island history. Please park on Woods of Arden Avenue.

  • Cost: $10. Exact change will be collected at the time of the program. Cash only.
  • Advance registration is required and can be made by emailing SalmonF@aol.com or by calling or texting 917-608-6437.
  • Talks will last 50-60 minutes and will be followed by a Q&A.
  • Attendance is limited to 18 because of Covid regulations.
