FOBH Creates Wreath Honoring Olmsted on His 200th Birthday

When in Manhattan, please make time to stop by Central Park’s Arsenal Gallery for some holiday inspiration, courtesy of NYC Park’s annual “Wreath Interpretations” exhibition. Visit and admire the Olmsted 200 wreath, created by multi-talented FOBH board members Tina Kaasmann-Dunn and Felicity Beil, on view now through December 30th.
In her artist statement, Tina says, “The image of Frederick Law Olmsted in the center of the wreath dates from the time of his residence at Tosomock Farm on Staten Island. The natural grapevine, straw, and foxtail grass came from the farm. The cedar of Lebanon [pine cones] comes from his plantings at the farm. The wreath honors his 200th birthday celebration.”
